How Long More?

News from the grapevine revealed that our church dedication has been shifted back to September. Is this something we should worry about? Maybe. Our plans right now revolve around the new hall which many couples who had tied the knot before us had been eyeing.

The new building has been eracted for close to three years but we had only received the CF towards the end of last year. Because of the delay, renovation work only took off this year. Half a year has come and still the light at the end of the tunnel remains but a tiny speck.

We had never really given this much thought as it didn't really concern us then. But now that a number of weddings have come and gone and none are near the prospect of being the first to have their marriage solemnised within the four walls of the new premises, we are beginning to doubt whether it will even be ready in time for ours.

So much for wanting to plan in advance and get things done well ahead of time.

A challenge to our faith? Perhaps. A lesson in letting Him take charge? Almost certainly. All remains to be seen as we wait in anticipation for news of our moving in.
