Less Than Perfect

If there ever was a day when everything would go wrong, today was the day. It all started when a trip to the florist had to be called off due to more pressing and important matters. It wasn't any consolation that we later found out that we could have actually gone as things got reshuffled at the last moment.

Jo's intention to drop off a few more invites at the post office and restock on stamps never got accomplished following an argument that ensued over the disuniformity of our bestmen's attire. The seemingly small things were literally falling apart, much to her disappointment and disbelief.

As she watched these events unravel, conflicting emotions on the value of one's friendship flooded her thoughts, causing further tension in her already provoked mind. Jo thought she didn't care, but it was rather obvious by the way she was feeling and acting that the reverse was true.

Lost in her own world, she tried to iron things out but could not quite tackle the complicated web of intertwined hurts. No one seemed to be able to understand what was going on in her mind, but He knew better.

Whether to encourage, or purely a matter of coincidence, He sent someone just at the right time. The message rang loud and clear, that things did not have to be perfect, as long as we are able to enjoy each other and reflect His presence in our relationship.
